- Abstract
The article presents the study emphasizing the physical conformation of humic substances (HSs) in hydrophobic organic contaminants (HOCs). The study primarily discusses the conformation of HSs for both soil/sediment organic matter (SOM) and dissolved organic matter (DOM), controlling the sorption of HOCs in soil/sediments. Specifically, it targets to determine the interaction between HOC and HS, relating HOCs sorption characteristics with HS properties. Detailed results of the study are enclosed, showing the conformity and interaction between HOC-DOM and HOC-SOM.
