- Abstract
A recent survey conducted in Japan explored the use of social media (SoMe) among patients with urological diseases and their families. The study found that over 60% of respondents had an account on at least one major platform, indicating a significant presence of urological patients on social media. Many respondents also expressed interest in receiving medical content posted by medical societies. These findings suggest that healthcare professionals and organizations should consider utilizing social media to engage with patients and provide reliable information. However, it is important to promote initiatives that deliver evidence-based information and address concerns about misinformation and privacy.
