- Abstract
The article presents information about the use of a headmount stereoscopic monitor in surgical procedures. The monitor provides excellent three-dimensional images and experiments by mechanical legation using forceps alone under endoscopies guidance suggested the usefulness of this monitor. The monitor unit may be particularly useful for fine manipulations, such as anastomosis and dissection of adhesion. The monitor is also useful in the laboratory. However, two problems with this monitor are apparent. First, eye fatigue could occur when the monitor is used for a long time. Second, the resolution of the image is low.
