- Abstract
the thallium concentration in water is very low but highly toxic and susceptible to the interference of co-existing ions in water. The pre-concentration and accurate detection technology of trace Thaium are summarized. The research progress of various methods for removing thallium from water is summarized. At present the emergency treatment of excessive thorium in drinking water is mainly to strengthen flocculation' and the removal of thallium in wastewater is mainly by adsorption' and the current trend is to develop highly selective' efficient and recyclable adsorbents. The deficiency of the removal capacity of a single method is pointed out' and the prospect of the development of efficient coupling technology is presented ' with a view to its application in drinking water.
