Title
Computational biology: A new protein subdivision.
Abstract
The article cites a study which found that traditional hierarchy of protein structure might require revision. Researchers have found that the proteins' amino acids are organized into three conserved functional units that are distinct from the traditional observed structural hierarchies based on sequence or three dimensional shape. In this context, they argue that natural selection may operate at the level of the protein sectors.
