- Abstract
The current educational discourse attaches considerable weight to practical study parts of teacher preparation programmes. Within the general pedagogy of technology education, there is a lack of suitable test instruments to prove that long-term teaching internships in schools lead to the expected beneficial effects for prospective technology teachers. On the basis of a pre-post test design, our contribution examines whether the assumed development of technology student teachers in terms of subject-specific pedagogical competence can be measured by means of the existing vignette-based test instrument PCK-T over the course of a phase of practical training. Our results refute the assumption concerning the developmental sensitivity of the PCK-T test instrument.
