- Abstract
A literary criticism of the novel "Austerlitz," by W. G. Sebald, is presented. Topics include the naming of the novel in relation to protagonist Jacques Austerlitz, the portrayal of a propaganda film featuring the Nazi concentration camp Theresienstadt in the novel, and the role of the memory or a mnemotechnic framework in the novel in relation to Christian church father Augustine of Hippo's autobiographical work "Confessions."
