- Title
Zarudzie Jarosława Iwaszkiewicza wobec działalności Instytutu Literackiego.
- Authors
Potkański, Jan
- Abstract
The article analyses Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz's short story Zarudzie as an expression of his unconscious reaction to the journalism and other writings that came from Jerzy Giedroyc's circle and concerned the issue of the Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation. Given his personal connection to Ukraine, Iwaszkiewicz may have felt compelled to respond, but the direct reason was most likely the involvement of his grandson, Maciej Włodek, in smuggling the publications of the Literary Institute to Poland, i.e. the case of the so-called mountaineers.
