- Abstract
The article focuses on the study of A. L. Price and colleagues entitled "New approaches to population stratification in genome-wide association studies." It says that based on the study, the inflation of spurious associations of test statistics is due to the mixed models model population structure as a random effect. It mentions that the cause of inflation is not the modeling population structure as random effect, wherein it is the kinship matrix that influence mixed models' performance.
