- Abstract
Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and graphite/polyether ether ketone (GP / PEEK) composites were prepared by using the hot pressing sintering method, and the molding process was optimized. The hardness, thermal conductivity, tribological properties and anti-friction electrostatic properties of pure PEEK and GP / PEEK composites were compared. The results show that the addition of GP can reduce the Shore hardness and increase the thermal conductivity of GP / PEEK composites. At the same time, the friction coefficient of GP / PEEK composite is reduced. Compared with the pure PEEK, the friction reduction of 15% GP / PEEK composite is improved by 59. 5%. After adding of GP, the wear resistance of GP / PEEK composite becomes worse. The friction and static electricity of 15% GP / PEEK composite almost disappeare. The main wear mechanisms of GP / PEEK composites are adhesive wear and abrasive wear.
