- Abstract
The article attempts to clarify collage as a popular design practice in art as well as in contemporary visual culture with regard to its factual demands and its educational potential for art lessons. For this purpose, design features as well as perceptual, imaginative and representational abilities are elaborated in order to derive didactic guidelines for tasks in the field of collage. Finally, a curricular learning sequence of collage tasks from primary school to upper school is sketched out using examples.
