- Abstract
Teaching practice is one of the lessons of teacher candidates' practices. The purpose of this research are to make a general evaluation of the teaching practice courseswithin the framework of the new regulations of MEB. Semi-structured interview form developed by researchers was used as data collection tool. Ondokuz Mayıs University, Department of Education, Department of Basic Education, Department of Education, 93 teacher candidates participated in the research. The answers given by students to questions were analyzed through content analysis. According to the results of the research, according to the new regulations of MEB, it has been determined that the implementation studies contributed positively to the school administrators and the application teachers. In terms of teaching staff, the result is that it does not have a significant effect. In addition to this, problems such as not being given as much importance to teacher candidates as in the application schools, the application teachers abandoning the class during the application and the lack of monitoring and guidance due to the fact that the application teachers did not reach to the application schools. In accordance with the results of the research, the following suggestions are made: making the content of the teaching practice course suitable for the needs of the day, giving the necessary training for the effective and efficient implementation of the teaching application course to the school administrators, teachers and application instructors and the necessary coordination between the University and the Ministry of National Education.
