- Abstract
The article discusses the history of the town of Powers located in Oregon and how it was populated by emigrants known as the Carolina Company. Topics include life along the South Fork Coquille River in oregon as led by members of the Carolina Company who settled there, the native Americans who had settled there and the extensive logging operations of the town that contributed to its economy.
