- Abstract
The 25th Steinheimer Talks of the Association of the Chemical Industry (VCI) took place in Mainz in June. The central theme of the talks was the transformation of the chemical industry and research towards sustainability and circular economy. Various lectures on current research topics were held, including methane production by archaea as biocatalysts and new tools of chemical biology for protein modification. The importance of chemistry in the German industry was also emphasized. The conference concluded with closing remarks by Thomas Carell.
