- Abstract
The article "Artificial Photosynthesis Processes: Coupling Reactions with CO2" deals with the conversion of carbon dioxide and the search for coupling reactions in which CO2 is used as a C1 building block. Various approaches such as electrochemical, photochemical, and thermal methods are discussed to produce platform chemicals, polymers, and other structures from CO2. A focus is placed on the homocoupling of CO2, where electrochemical work dominates. Selective catalysts and mechanisms are also investigated to improve the efficiency of the reactions. The authors of the article are Jola Pospech and Thea S. Mayer.
