- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of good, sufficient sleep to the daily well-being and functioning at work and during leisure time. It cites a study that reported an association between sleep duration and mortality which showed that people with sleep duration deviant from the population mean were at a higher mortality risk. It notes that sleep deprivation may be particularly detrimental for decision-making in situations that involve unexpected change and uncertainty.
