- Title
Generation Vexed: Age-Cohort Differences in Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance Coverage.
- Abstract
The article presents an abstract of the paper "Generation Vexed: Age-Cohort Differences in Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance Coverage," by Sherry Glied and Mark Stabile, published in the January-February 2001 issue of the periodical "Health Affairs." During the 1980-1990, the rate of employer-sponsored health insurance coverage has decreased significantly, with the downward trend most evident among young adults. Health insurance coverage rates peaked for the cohort born in 1947, but there has been a steady decline among subsequent cohorts. The existence of age-related and cyclical elements of coverage has implications for policy makers.
