- Abstract
This article is based on a research conducted in the context of a doctoral study aiming at evaluating the impact of strategies for preventing and reducing school dropout implemented through a European project, Save Children from Abandonment and Non-Integration, upon the level of achievement motivation. The study aims at emphasizing that through a coherent and complex process including actions dedicated to pupils, teachers, parents, schools, communities, school dropout phenomenon rate can be diminished and academic motivation can be strengthen in order to keep children in school, on one hand, and ensure good results consisting not only in high grades but also in valuable social skills.
