- Abstract
The article offers information the techniques and processes of hostage negotiations. It is mentioned that taking hostages has become a frequent practice of political terrorists as it has both tangible and intangible benefits including generating terror, ransom, and forcing government to yield to the demands. Also, the outcome of hostage negotiation depends on the preparation of the terrorists and the government policy towards hostage crisis.
