- Title
Invited Perspective: Increasing Disparities in Air Pollution Health Burdens in the United States-A Concerning Trend for PM2.5 and a Path Forward.
- Authors
Richmond-Bryant, Jennifer; Wilson, Ayo
- Abstract
The authors comment on a study that used cause-specific exposure-response curves in the Global Burden of Disease to investigate disparities in relative risk of premature mortality attributable to particulate matter with mass median aerodynamic diameter <2.5 micrometer (PM2.5) in the U.S. from 2010 to 2019. It discusses the implications of the findings that suggest further increases in health disparities due to PM2.5 exposures because of climate change-related wildfires.
