- Abstract
The article focuses on the implications of the U.S. Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCPA) of 2005, a legislative act that made several significant changes to the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. It mentions that prior to the passage of BAPCA, the U.S. Circuit Courts had held that a fourth option "ride through," involving discharging of liability, existed for debtor's personal liability in addition to redemption, reaffirmation and surrender.
