- Abstract
An essay is presented which explores the work conditions and labor challenges being faced by Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) arts practitioners that work at art institutions, museums, and galleries. Topics discussed include the way gossip between arts practitioners tend to affect the productivity of institutions, the prevalence of racism and performative activism in the art industry, and the observed use of non-disclosure agreements (NDA) by institutions to maintain power.
