- Abstract
The article describes the process of moving the special collections of an academic library from one location to another. Particular focus is given to the need for advance planning and attention to detail in undertaking a successful move. Details related to several aspects of the moving process, including assessing and physically preparing collections, cleaning storage areas, labeling items with movers' tags, and quality control, are presented. Topics discussed include security measures, time management, and division of labor.
