- Abstract
The article discusses a study on detection of monoclonal light chains in urine. Topics discussed include use of urine protein electrophoresis (PEL) and immunofixation electrophoresis (IFE) for identifying a monoclonal immunoglobulin, electrospray-ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (microLC-ESI-Q-TOF MS) as an alternative to PEL and IFE for identifying monoclonal light chains in serum and urine, and same molecular mass of monoclonal light chain found in serum and urine.
