- Abstract
A speech by Derick Daniels of Knight Newspapers Inc. in October 1974 is presented. Daniels spoke to the American Society of Journalism School Administration awards luncheon about the increase in newsprint prices which will alter the traditional approaches to the definition and coverage of news. He spoke of the implications of the change including raising advertising rates and printing smaller papers. He also enumerated what the industry must learn to improve the value of newspapers.
