- Abstract
In this article, the author discusses the aspects of judicious selection of graphical representations to improve visual communication. The author mentions the purpose of graphs in the complex connections among various dimensions in data. The author points out that color is not an ideal tool to present quantitative information because it does not commensurate the change in numerical value. Thus, color has the uneven transitions that break the connection between the numerical value and color.
