Abstract
The article informs about the experimental tractability of biological systems which makes it possible to explore the idea that casual relationships can be estimated from observational data. Researchers use measurement of gene expression, cellular protein amounts or metabolite levels among the other types of data. Casual inference from purely observed data could have practical value in the prioritization and design of perturbation experiments.
