- Title
The Implausible Triumph of the Reform of the Reform.
- Authors
Tucker, Jeffrey
- Abstract
The article reports on how the ordinary and the extraordinary forms of Catholic liturgy are living side by side even as the faithful are about to receive the biggest upgrade to the 1970 reform of the Roman Rite. The author, a long-time critic of the current translation of the missal, reports that he has received countless notes from music directors who are planning dramatic changes in the new missal. He says the ordinary form is on its way to deserve being viewed as a legitimate expression of the Roman Rite and being regarded as such by any generation.
