- Abstract
The article discusses Employment Equity Act 1995 of Canada, federal Canadian law requires federal jurisdiction employers to engage in proactive employment practices to increase the representation of four designated groups including women, people with disabilities, aboriginal peoples and visible minorities. Topics include civil rights and equal employment opportunities as well as to assess racial disparities in health and environmental risks, distinctions between different minority groups and impacts on intergroup relations.
