- Authors
Clough, Richard
- Abstract
The article focuses on the recommendations from the British Commission for Social Care Inspection to modernize social care regulation in three phases. In the initial phase, it proposes to have flexibility and focus on its inspections. The second phase aims to bring greater emphasis on giving advice and guidance, eliminating bureaucracy and simplifying registration. The final phase intends to form a system of registration that licences someone to provide services and implement a set of regulations appropriate to needs and a flexible set of rules.
