- Abstract
The authors discuss a report about the population and mortality in the Islamic Republic of Iran from 2006 to 2035. Topics covered include the use of the Lee-Carter model to predict their 20-year trend, the impact of endocrine, nutritional, and metabolic diseases on the rate of death in the general population, and a decline in deaths from cardiovascular disease in women and deaths due to unintentional incidents.
