- Abstract
The article discusses the statistical survey Basic Survey of Japanese Business Structure and Activities by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). It is stated that 3.07 million of the 11.64 million of workers are part-time workers. The ratio of main business to sales has increased in the manufacturing, wholesale and retail sectors since 2001. The author shares that Japanese manufacturers received more patent licensing fees from abroad than they paid for foreign licenses.
