- Title
A molecular motor finds its track.
- Authors
Cochran, Jared C; Kull, F Jon
- Abstract
The article offers the authors' insight on the mechanism of molecular motor proteins kinesin and myosin in their motor-track interaction with their respective protein. They state that motor proteins kinesin and myosin play a vital role in various cellular processes, including vesicle transport, cell motility, and muscle contraction. They illustrate the interaction of kinesin and tubulin in which tubulin stimulate the adenosine triphosphate cycle of kinesin.
