The article presents information on the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, which has an environment to give children opportunities to learn about science and nature through discovery and inquiry. At the museum's Hands-on Habitat exhibit, children are provided with spontaneous and informal learning opportunities that focus on constructing knowledge about the scientific process along with exposure to skills such as observation, communication, and prediction.
