- Abstract
The article offers information on the study conducted by Constantin von zur Muehlen, a cardiologist at the University Hospital Freiburg Department of Cardiology in Freiburg, Germany. It states that the study is made to find new biomarkers for atherosclerosis and coronary artery disease. The researchers tried the proteome analysis using the patients urine as specimens and the coronary angiography using a small tube and catherer to diagnose the disease. As a result, urine proteome pattern is more accurate with 84 percent and is said to be the reliable screening method because it is easy to use, shows a high reproductivity and it does not hurt.
