- Abstract
The article informs about teaching students to identify text structure improves overall comprehension by allowing students to anticipate the location of information, and recall information based on the author's explanation with comprehension of expository texts. Topics include instruction in text structures supports students' development and use of text structures for comprehension; and develop a vocabulary of cause and effect signal words for students as an effective strategy.
