- Authors
Wheeler, H. J.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the fertilizer requirements of the U.S. The fertilizer requirements of a country depend on various factors such as the amount and distribution of the annual rainfall and the physical texture and origin of the soil. Due to the impact of rainfall, potash fertilizers are required as a supplement to the soil supply in many sections of the eastern and southern regions of the U.S. It is also required for some crops grown in Texas, Missouri and Wisconsin. The supply of organic ammonia fertilizers in relation to the requirements of the country has been decreasing. Nitrogen fertilizers are also needed in several parts of the country.
