- Abstract
The author reflects on a review of the past effort of improving radiation safety in pediatric radiology. He stresses that the inception of the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR) in 1958, pediatric radiologists played a crucial role in radiation protection and awareness. One of this was the first in as series of As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) conferences sponsored by Dr. Thomas Slovis to discuss Computed tomography (CT) dose reduction in a multidisciplinary format.
