- Abstract
The change in the microstructure of steel-aluminum wire during deformation by the equal-channel angular pressing – drawing method is considered. Deformation is performed at room temperature in two passes. It is shown that wire strength properties, even after two deformation passes, increase markedly compared to the initial condition, ultimate strength (σf) increases from 370 MPa in the initial state to 690 MPa after the second pass, and yield strength (σ0.2) increases from 260 to 465 MPa after the second pass.
