The article focuses on the political activities of the Society of Muslim Brothers in Egypt. According to the group's official website, nearly 1,700 of its members were arrested for their Gaza-related activism. It highlights the skirmish between the Brothers and the ruling National Democratic Party (NDP) over NDP Member of the Parliament (MP) Hasan Nash'at's suggestion that the Brothers' bloc was working on behalf of the country's enemies, the Hamas. It discusses the reaction of the Muslim Brothers to the U.S.-Israeli military order.
