- Abstract
Numerous scientific studies have delved into the effects of gender diversity in the workplace on the functioning of organizations and teams. Nonetheless, the literature appears to lack a unanimous consensus. Views fluctuate between the presence of positive or negative effects, their absence, and the proposal of an optimal diversity rate. Our research thus turns its attention to the impact of gender diversity on conflict intensity and cohesion in our study. To scrutinize this topic, we implemented both quantitative and qualitative methodologies with a participant pool of 124 non-commissioned officers from the French Air Force, divided into 21 teams. Our findings suggest that teams manifesting certain diversity rates demonstrate superior outcomes concerning conflict intensity and team cohesion.
