- Abstract
The article investigates the effectiveness of the United Nations (UN) peace mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The primary concerns of MONUC (United Nations Observer Mission in DRC) is to prevent the violence between the Congolese security forces and the members of the Bundia Kongo wherein hundreds of people were killed during the conflict. The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) initiated a $62 million for economic assistance of DRC people.
