- Abstract
This paper uses bibliometrics to understand the status, trends and related thematic areas in Supply Chain Finance (SCF) research. Through scientific maps, the analysis highlights the production and performance of SCF, the most relevant journals, keywords, main publications and existing research groups. The methodology employed is based on more robust search criteria than those previously used by the literature, as well as on a longitudinal analysis divided into two periods from 2000 to 2021, the year that marks new trends in SCF in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. The results of this work confirm that SCF is at the center of supply chain management (SCM) as a field of knowledge of greater breadth and reveal the great semantic fragmentation that exists in this thematic area. Relevant contributions consist of the identification of leading, new and emerging research topics that characterize SCM to create value in organizations within a framework of sustainability. The conclusions can contribute to the construction of a comprehensive conceptual framework of SCF, and guide stakeholders to match the supply and demand of financial resources more efficiently for working capital to business partners in supply chains.
