- Abstract
All natural phenomena are uncertain, even the flow motion is no exception, all of which is derived from the nonlinear that it follows. The sensitive dependence of the solution on the initial boundary value condition when flow is uncertain, and the multiple solutions of the steady flow form the uncertainty of flow motion. Unsteady flow is absolute, and steady flow is relative. The change of water flow initial boundary value condition is inevitable. Measurement error can't be completely eliminated. There is also a local inconstancy in a steady flow. The solutions properties of steady flow are related to the error level. When the error level changed, the number of solutions of the steady flow, even the uniqueness of the solution will be changed. The actual flow of water is an organic complex with varying degrees of steady and unsteady, certain and uncertain. The existing theoretical analysis, physical experiment and numerical experiment, prototype observation and so on, all show off the existence of the uncertainty of flow motion. Big data research methods can't be an exception. It is necessary to clear, embed, and perfect the theory on the uncertainty of flow motion, and further study on this basis, in order to provide scientific basis for practical engineering decision.
