- Abstract
(PANA 31/8) World Bank Support: The World Bank has released US$520m to Guinea for reforms of public finance management, stabilisation of the macro-economic framework and the good management of the public debt. UNICEF explained that despite the efforts of the government and partners, the current capacity to treat severe acute malnutrition over the past three years is under 30% of the country's needs. Malnutrition: Some 200,000 children in Guinea are threatened with malnutrition, with the worst affected localities being Conakry, the capital, Kindia, in maritime Guinea, Kankan, in Upper Guinea and Nzérékoré, in Forest Guinea.
