- Abstract
The article informs that according to a research direct sunlight exposure reduces hair cortisol levels in rhesus monkeys also known as Macaca mulatta. It mentions that the cumulative level of cortisol is considered to be an important biochemical factor in the pathogenesis and treatment of depression. It also mentions that cortisol is an important stress hormone and can reflect and regulate stress system function.
