- Abstract
The article offers information about a study that explores the potential atmospheric impacts of constructed wetlands due to the worldwide increase in developing these systems in Europe. The study highlights the importance of the cold season in annual greenhouse released from north temperate and boreal constructed wetlands. It measured the fluxes of N2O, CH4, and CO2 in Estonia, Finland, Norway, and Poland during winter and summer in horizontal and vertical subsurface flow, free surface water, and overland and groundwater flow wetlands.
