- Abstract
The article presents a study on the pharmacokinetic properties and possible molecular targets of lignan and terpene compounds from the Mexican medicinal plant Bursera microphylla. In-silico analysis revealed that these compounds have a favorable ADME profile and the ability to inhibit enzymes in hepatic metabolism. Possible therapeutic targets were identified, such as dopamine and norepinephrine transporters, as well as the cannabinoid receptor type 2. These findings suggest that lignans and terpenes from B. microphylla have the potential to be evaluated in animal models of inflammation, analgesia, cancer, and psychiatric diseases.
