- Authors

- Abstract
The article discusses Adrian Ghenie's major solo exhibition, "The Brave New World," at Pace Gallery in New York. The exhibition features eleven new paintings and four works on paper that explore the relationship between the human body and technology. Ghenie's artworks depict distorted bodies interacting with electronic devices, highlighting the contradiction of these devices increasing isolation despite being created to strengthen interpersonal relationships. The article suggests that Ghenie's paintings reflect his own experiences growing up in Communist Romania and serve as snapshots of life under the surveillance of modern devices.
