- Abstract
This article highlights the importance of transparency in organizations. With the increased attention on ethical issues and conflict of interest in the wake of recent corporate scandals, organizations are wise to promote transparency. A transparent organization is one whose policies and decision-making processes are open and visible to all. Oncology Nursing Society is taking a leadership role by looking seriously at its policies and practices in the areas of organizational ethics, conflict of interest, and disclosure. An important feature of implementing the new policy will be a comprehensive communication and education plan.
